How I approach therapy
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I aim to create a steady, supportive space where you can bring whatever feels important and explore it at your own pace. Together, we can shape an approach that fits you and your life - one that feels helpful, manageable, and meaningful for you.
Moving at your pace
You don’t need to arrive with everything ready to talk about. We can take things step by step, making space for whatever feels most important, without pressure to go further than feels comfortable.
A collaborative and responsive approach
Rather than following a fixed method, I respond to what emerges in our conversations. This allows the process to stay flexible and shaped by what matters most to you.
An inclusive and respectful space
I aim to offer a space that is attentive to a range of experiences and ways of being, including neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ people.
I hold a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College, and an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Upper Second Class Honours, 2.1) from IICP College. I have also completed a Practitioner Certificate in working with autistic adults from AUsome Training Ireland. I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and work in accordance with their Code of Ethics, including ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and GDPR requirements.
About Me
I’m a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, working with and supporting clients in therapy centres and private practice since 2017. Alongside this, for several years I worked with a team, both on-site and remotely, supporting the psychological wellbeing of people in high‑pressure, multicultural corporate settings, including those regularly exposed to distressing or sensitive material. This has given me a deep understanding of how ongoing stress and vicarious trauma can build up over time.
My approach is collaborative and pluralistic. I don’t believe there is one way therapy “should” look. Instead, we can work together to find what feels right and manageable for you, at your pace. My aim is to offer a space that feels respectful, responsive, and attuned to your own experience, where you can explore what’s going on for you without pressure or judgement, where all parts of your experience are welcome and met with care.
I have experience supporting people with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, grief and loss, self‑esteem, and life transitions. I also support people with many of the impacts of modern life, such as burnout, ongoing stress, anxiety around work or study, digital overwhelm and social media pressure, loneliness and disconnection, and the emotional toll of world events and uncertainty. This can include vicarious or secondary trauma in helping professions, activism, frontline roles, and digital content work. I work with experiences of identity and belonging for anyone who wishes to explore these areas, and I have particular experience with neurodivergent adults, especially late-diagnosed/self-diagnosed autistic, ADHD and AuDHD clients, as well as LGBTQIA+ clients. I’m committed to offering a space that is inclusive of many different identities, experiences, and ways of being.
